Hot rolled stainless steel surface has scaling, imperfect edges with distortions. Hot rolled stainless steel is less time-consuming and cheaper than cold-rolled stainless steel. Cold rolled stainless steel is stronger and harder than hot rolled stainless steel.

Carbon Steel has three main subgroups depending on how much carbon is in the metal: Low Carbon Steels/Mild Steels (up to 0.3% carbon), Medium Carbon Steels (0.3–0.6% carbon), and High Carbon Steels (more than 0.6% carbon)

The approximate coil weight can be determined by measuring the Outside Diameter (OD), Inside Diameter (ID), and the Width.

Carbon steel coil is mainly used for manufacturing complex shape, high mechanical performance requirements, but in the process and it is difficult to use forging and pressing methods to form the more important mechanical parts, such as automobile gearbox housing, locomotive and vehicle couplings and so on.
